Always Ahead In Educatiom

Message from Dean

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED). Since its establishment, KUSOED has been providing quality education through its Postgraduate Diploma (PGDE), Masters in Education (MEd), MPhil and PhD programs. We have been focusing on producing capable human capital in the areas of Educational Leadership, Development Studies, Research, Teacher Education and Training.
We are very careful to provide access to quality education for our students. The tasks before us are large, but they must be faced and we are best off facing them together. Working together, we can ensure that the challenges of quality education are addressed. The School of Education is one of KU's leading educational institutions which has the capacity to build confidence in tomorrow's human resources, the students admitted in this school, and to lead the educational system of the country toward the desired direction.

We are aware that in the 21st century teachers and teacher educators need to be broadly educated with regard to changes taking place around the globe. We accord developing skills, attitudes and knowledge relevant to the world of work as high priority. The School of Education continues to attract and retain outstanding faculty who are well respected in their fields. We offer a challenging intellectual environment for our undergraduate and graduate degree programs in different fields of study. We believe in having interactions, practicing, discussing, participating in project works, seminars and research as the main vehicles for quality education.

Thank you for your continued interest to KUSOED and its programs.

Prof. Mana Prasad Wagley, PhD
